Prolonged use of facial protective equipment has increased the occurrence of skin irritation among healthcare workers and the general population. Understanding associated dermatological changes may improve preventive care. This cross-sectional study evaluated facial skin complaints associated with extended face mask use. Participants reported mask-wearing duration, skin care practices, and dermatological symptoms. Acneiform eruptions, erythema, pruritus, and irritant dermatitis were the most frequently observed conditions. Symptom severity increased with prolonged continuous mask use and pre-existing sensitive skin. Appropriate skin care education and optimized protective equipment may reduce mask-related dermatological complications.
