Editorial Policy

Editorial Independence

The editorial decisions of the International Journal Studies of Advance Medical Science (IJSAMS) are made independently by the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board. Editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific quality, originality, significance, ethical standards, and relevance of submitted manuscripts. The publisher does not influence editorial decisions.

Editorial Responsibilities

The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board are responsible for maintaining the quality, integrity, and transparency of the journal. Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts fairly and impartially, ensure an unbiased peer review process, protect the confidentiality of submitted work, manage conflicts of interest, and uphold the highest standards of publication ethics.

Editors are expected to:

  • Evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit.
  • Maintain confidentiality throughout the editorial process.
  • Avoid discrimination based on nationality, gender, race, religion, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs.
  • Declare and manage any conflicts of interest.
  • Take appropriate action in cases of research misconduct or publication malpractice.

Editorial Decision Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal's scope and compliance with submission requirements. Manuscripts that pass the preliminary evaluation are assigned to independent expert reviewers under the journal's peer review system.

Based on reviewers' recommendations, the Editor may reach one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

The Editor-in-Chief has the final authority on all publication decisions.

Editorial Ethics

Editors follow internationally accepted principles of publication ethics and are committed to ensuring fairness, confidentiality, transparency, and integrity throughout the editorial process. Editorial decisions are made without commercial, institutional, or personal influence.

Editors will not use unpublished information obtained through submitted manuscripts for personal research or benefit without the explicit written consent of the authors.

Editorial Workflow

All manuscripts follow the editorial workflow below:

Submission → Initial Editorial Screening → Plagiarism Check → Editorial Assessment → Double-Blind Peer Review → Reviewer Reports → Editorial Decision → Author Revision (if required) → Final Acceptance → Copyediting → Proofreading → Typesetting → DOI Assignment → Online Publication

The journal strives to complete the editorial and peer review process as efficiently as possible while maintaining rigorous academic and ethical standards.
