Personal listening devices have become an integral part of daily life among university students. Prolonged exposure to high sound intensity may contribute to early auditory impairment. This cross-sectional study evaluated earphone usage patterns and hearing-related symptoms among university students. Participants completed questionnaires addressing listening duration, preferred volume levels, and hearing complaints. Tinnitus, temporary hearing dullness, and ear discomfort were more commonly reported among students who listened at high volume for prolonged periods. Although most participants demonstrated normal hearing during routine screening, risky listening behaviors were widespread. Educational initiatives promoting safe listening practices may help reduce future noise-induced hearing impairment.
