Elongation of the styloid process is an uncommon anatomical variation that may contribute to chronic throat pain, dysphagia, and referred otalgia, although it frequently remains undiagnosed. This hospital-based study evaluated the clinical presentation of patients diagnosed with an elongated styloid process during investigation for persistent throat discomfort. Clinical examination and radiographic assessment were performed to characterize symptom patterns and anatomical findings. Chronic throat pain, foreign-body sensation, and pain during swallowing represented the most common complaints. Appropriate radiological evaluation facilitated diagnosis and guided management decisions. Increased clinical awareness may improve recognition of this often-overlooked cause of chronic throat pain.
